Back to work again! It is as if the summer never was. Settling back to work with the kids is easy because it feels like you never left.

Couldn't get tickets for the Elton John concert, that was a disappointment!

Haven't been talking to anyone who did so I am not sure how it went. There was some trouble with cameras....

October is well under way. Thanksgiving weekend is here. Halloween will be here before you know it with all the hype that entails, especially working with children. They get pretty excited, worked up, hyper, distracted...... you name it. It is cute though. Scary but Cute!

Hope!

February, usually my favourite month, was well ...solemn... this year. I have not recovered from the devastation of the summer and it seems that things just continue to unravel. However, there is always hope. Where would we be without it? Those of us who believe in God have that promise of eternal hope no matter how badly things go or what we have to deal with.

I often wonder what do people do, where do they turn, how do the process things without a belief in a loving, caring God who is in ultimate control?

I have the tendency to think too much, to dwell on the worst outcomes, and to give up. It is only because of my faith and belief that I can rise above these thoughts and feelings and get on with life. It is such a relief, such a release, such a feeling of peace to be able to give over to such a loving and powerful God to work things out according to his purpose. Of course I am still human (God knows this) and I struggle with my emotions and fears as humans do. However, I am not without an anchor, a rock someone to ground me, someone to hold to, someone far greater than anything I could encounter.

Hope is AWESOME! It is another gift from God.

Listening - A Lost Art

People don't really listen anymore, well most people anyway. They hear words but don't always take the time to hear the emotion, fears, excitement,..... that is present when we communicate using speech.

This has the effect of taking away our voice. If no one really cares to listen then we don't put the same thought and care into what we say. We become less concerned with the words we use, the attitude we convey, the impressions we leave behind.

If lucky enough to have true friends, then we are lucky enough to know what it is like when others truly listen to us. In turn it also helps us to become better listeners and to foster relationships that grow from REAL communication where we listen with our ears, our experiences, our patience and our hearts.

Work

Love my job.....But there are days!! Know what I mean?
I work with kids. They are truly the best to work with, however, they are learning the ways of the real world. Such as
1) Lie if you can get away with it
2) Blame it on someone else if you can't
3) Learn how to push all the buttons
4) Just talk your way out of the situation
5) Don't admit to anything
The list just goes on and on. But in all that they are also very Innocent and are truly surprised that you are not fallin' for that!

God Bless The Children They Are Indeed The Future!

What can be said of them is also true of us. We all make mistakes, all need to be forgiven from time to time, all need to learn to live and let live, all need to examine our motives, and all need to enjoy life with a passion!!

First Post

Today was a day Dentist Day. Not a job I would like to have myself. Yes, you do preform a very necessary service, however, I wouldn't like a job with such close contact to perfect strangers.

How do we know STRANGERS are perfect? None of my friends are able to achieve the perfect lable and yet I just hand it out to Strangers!!!

Anyway, my tooth problem is now solved and once again I can eat without carefully placing each bite to avoid sudden pain!!
